I want to be a part of the solidarity with my fellow sisters and brothers that are marching in D.C. Being unable to attend due to crippling social anxiety as well as spinal stenosis I can’t be there, but my heart will be with everyone there. I am so glad to have this chance.

I am a child and adolescent of the 60’s and 70’s, a maturing and career climber of the 80’s and 90’s, and now a 21st-century senior citizen who is comfortable in her own skin. I marched for civil rights, the ERA,  the Million Mom march for gun safety– and if not for my physical limitations…

Why I Am Joining The March : HCP women know adversity and do not hide. Unlike the new President. We are strong. We are. A fact he does not acknowledge. HCP women are people too.

A man who doesn’t support women and women’s rights, LGBTQIA+ people, and people with disabilities is #notmypresident.

I march because I’ve lived in a country where women are viewed as objects and oppressed and seen the pain it can cause; because women don’t get to be touched whenever a guy feels like and we don’t need to be rated on how “hot” we are; because this is 2017 not 1817.
