I had my airline ticket and hotel rooms for the March as soon as it was announced, but now attending is “against medical advice” for orthopedic reasons. I am elated that people of all colors, genders, races, and political leanings are coming together. We come together in peace and unity to stand up for human rights. Yes, we stand up for women’s rights, but also for LGBTQ rights, disability rights, senior’s rights for health care access — for equality for all Americans, especially for people of color. We need representation in Washington for all of us, not the billionaires. We — women, men, children, and those gender neutral — march in 340 cities around the world for our futures, our children’s’ futures, the beautiful animals’ future, and our planet’s very survival.
