My name is Lisa Caplan and I would be at the march if I didn’t have a spinal cord injury and a serious heart condition.
Being seen in my wheelchair at the march would be so empowering but I’m also grateful for this alternative way to participate. While I may be confined to a chair I am a journalist and part-time activist and sit, stand, and roll in unity with people who all too often have their voices stolen to say Trump is not, can not, and will never be my president. As a human, woman, mother and a disabled person I long already for this horrid chapter in American history to pass and for strong minds and hearts to prevail against the tide of bile about to be unleashed at us.I stand united with good people around the world to pledge to maintain personal integrity even if the same can’t e said of government.
Fight evil incarnate by rising above!
