Someone recently told me they wished they hadn’t missed me in my prime. I had always been very active and healthy until two and a half years ago when my autonomic nervous system started failing me, affecting everything from my heart rate to temperature regulation, and I was diagnosed with Dysautonomia. But I believe in medical advancements, positivity, and perseverance. And that’s why I “march.” I march because my prime years are now, and my prime years are ahead of me. I’d like to keep it that way.

I demand respect, and I demand to be heard. The policies being put forward by the incoming administration not only threaten my well-being, but those of my sisters, niece, nephews, and future children. Healthcare, Education, Social Security, and Environmental Protection are all on the line. We must think of our future, because with a little collaboration our future can be bright.
