I am joining the disability march, because I am recovering from total hip replacement surgery two weeks ago.
As an activist, starting as a draft counselor during the Viet Nam war, attending peaceful demonstrations, marches and rallies has always been a part of my life. The Women’s March is very important at this time to speak truth to power, to allow us to feel solidarity with so many others, and to show the world that we will not be ruled by ignorance, sexism, racism and violence.
