I am joining the March today because I would love to protest in person, but my mental illness and chronic pain are currently not allowing me to do so. I need my health care to literally stay alive and this is currently in danger. I’m also Queer and Transgender and my basic human rights are in jeopardy of being set back 50+ years. My friends of color have it even worse. My nephew who has Autism as well as the children I work with as a Clinical Social Worker are in danger of loosing the education they deserve. My female friends are in danger of loosing the right to choose what they can do with their own bodies. Sexual assault survivors are about to watch a man who believes that sexual assault is a joke lead our entire nation! And many many more reasons… I’m grateful for the opportunity to participate in this virtual march.
I am a 34 year old Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I co-facilitate a peer support group for Transgender and Queer identified adults. I also public speak on issues related to  and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
Thank you again folks for making this possible for me and others who really need it. ❤
