Hi there,
My name is Beth, I’m 28 and living in Richmond, VA.
As much as I wish I could be at the March on Washington with my sisters, it’s just not possible financially. I have two jobs at the moment and they are actually pretty amazing. I don’t want to risk losing them by missing work. But to be honest, I’m also scared.
It’s scary to think how protestors are treated. Especially POCs. I know that if I saw an injustice I would act out physically and possibly get into trouble. Maybe even arrested.
I can not afford this.
But I also have the privilege to speak my mind and be heard.
So I’ll spend Saturday wearing my suffragette sash and talking to anyone about equality and justice for all.
Thank you for doing this.
Thank you for including everyone in this fight.
