Betty Benoit Richardson

As a Quaker I find everything about the incoming President to be in conflict with my religious and personal beliefs.  Equality for some ends up being equality for none.  All human beings must have the same rights and treatment in order for this society to progress.

I am also appalled at the thought of millions of people not having insurance, especially for pre-existing conditions. I have MS.  If my Medicare is cut, I will not be able to afford the medications I need to function.

I grew up in Southern Louisiana in a segregated world.  My eyes were opened when the church was bombed in Birmingham.  From that point on, I became radical in my opinions.  I am a Democratic Socialist who is deeply worried about my beloved country.
