I am joining the disability march as an ally from the UK. Due to being severely ill with neurological symptoms that hit me when I was 17 (I’m now 38), I know how disability and ill health can affect anyone. I am lucky in that here in the UK access to our NHS is not income-related and I am distraught that Obamacare (the ACA) is likely to be repealed by someone unable to even say what its replacement will be, never mind how it will safeguard the 20 million who now have healthcare due to the ACA. Unlike Trump, who mocks disabled people using spastic arm movements and grabs women by the genitals, I believe in equality. I believe in peace. I believe in peaceful protest to protect the vulnerable. I believe Love Trumps Hate.
