Dr. MJ Hardma & Dr. Dimas Bautista Iturrizaga

Elderly white woman with long white hair wearing a pink and white dress, standing next to an elderly Native American man wearing a blue sweater and baseball cap. They both have canes and are standing in a garden.

We both have multiple frailties.  My husband has lost most of his hearing and his balance; fall risk is extreme.  I need oxygen most of the time, inter alia.  We are joining because we both deeply believe that women are people too.  His mother, within the Jaqaru culture (Perú), first taught me what lack of sexual hierarchy feels like.  I’ve never been the same since, and my husband doesn’t understand why there is any discrimination in the first place.  Also, I taught, for years, courses on language and gender/violence/culture, etc. and have written extensively on such matters.  May the March be successful and may we continue even thereafter until the work is complete, until we are all people together.

Dr. Dimas Bautista Iturrizaga, a little ancient Jaqi man (Native American, brown), with white hair, 98 years old.  USA citizen, immigrant.

Dr. MJ Hardman, a little, ancient white woman with very white straight hair, sometimes in a small bun. Born citizen.
