My name is Ericka I’m 28 and I’m a Boston girl at heart, but my family moved me to North Carolina. I love the mountains and I love being the “liberal feminist your mom warned you about.” I teach pre-kindergarten and am passionate about making sure young girls know they can do anything! I live with epilepsy, anxiety, and asthma, but I don’t let anything get in my way of enjoying the outdoors, reading, and Netflix. I’m proud to march with you always.
I march because 44 years later I’m still fighting with someone who’s trying to tell me what’s best for my body. I march because there shouldn’t even be a glass ceiling to break anymore. I march because I’m a feminist and that’s not a dirty word. I march because no means no. I march for those who can’t, I march for those who don’t know any better. I march for you!
Thank you.
In solidarity,
Ericka Channing
