Chloe: Why I Am Joining The March : I have a disability myself, and I would love to give my support.
Roni Feldman: Why I Am Joining The March : As a disabled woman, I was horrified by Trump’s mocking a disabled reporter. He should be ashamed and should stop denying what we all saw and instead apologize. I’m also dependent on Social Security and Medicare. I’m terrified that Congress could actually repeal the ACA and privatize Medicare. These are people’s lives you’re playing with.
Dan ByrdJr: Why I Am Joining The March : On April 19, 2015, I was insured through the Affordable Care Act. On that day, I had a heart attack, and quadruple bypass surgery. The ACA literally saved my life.
Virginia Walker: Why I Am Joining The March : Because I still believe everyone is equal and deserve the same rights and privileges
ruthann nisnick: Why I Am Joining The March : I’m 80 years old and physically challenged. I MUST be a part of this movement for the sake of my children and grandchildren
DrGayle: Why I Am Joining The March : Socially, we’re headed in the wrong direction. As Maya once said, “It’s time for the thinking people to start thinking”. I think it’s time for the feeling people to start feeling. We need to rediscover kindness & compassion.
Make American KIND again. Start now.
Lauren Tuchman: Why I Am Joining The March : Because disability rights are human rights! Because people with disabilities are tremendously impacted by Trump’s agenda. Because I am tired of disability erasure!
Valerie James: Why I Am Joining The March : Everyone has the right to quality healthcare. Also, we all have the right to feel safe in our community regardless of gender, race, ethnicity or sexual orientation.
Annie Zaleski: Why I Am Joining The March : I am a woman with a physical disability, and so large crowds and I don’t get along. However, I speak out in solidarity with everyone marching to protect, preserve and extend the rights of all women.
Kathy Gritton: Why I Am Joining The March : I can’t go to DC but I am standing with every woman there. Hillary was right when she said “we are stronger together”. We need to stand strong now more than ever.
