Group post (10 marchers)

Danna Chambers McMath:
Why I Am Joining The March :
As a 63 disabled senior lady, a lifelong activist for civil rights, especially for women’s right, I wanted some way to join in the mobilization of our First Amendment duties to protest an illegal government. As a country, we are the victims of foreign and domestic terrorism with the interference of our last election and we are about to install a bogus government. We must band together to take back our government from the fascist coup d’ etat which just took place in November. Thanks for giving me a voice.

Ethel Lapitan: Why I Am Joining The March : Physically, I am unable to participate in the March in Washington D.C. or the local one in our Tampa Bay area, but I feel it is so vital to stand up, to speak out and to participate in any way possible for social justice, women’s rights, racial equality and an end to the gun culture in our country. Women (and Men of like mind) will be unified all over this nation on Saturday, January 21, 2017 not just to protest the sad event tomorrow but to support all that is good in and for Americans of every race and creed.

Aherin Saunders: Why I Am Joining The March : I’m not very good with words, so bear with me please. I’m joining for some of the obvious reasons: Trump should not have been elected. He is a racist, bigoted, sexist, ableist, homo/transphobic person who we should know better by now than to elect. If I had the money, the body, and the mental health to join the real march I would, but unfortunately that’s not the case. This.. man, is going to destroy our society, if not by legitimate “power” then by being a figurehead to all the horrible people in this country. Giving them the feeling of ‘safety’ to be able to spread their hatred.
He is not my president.

Joan Boyen: Why I Am Joining The March : I am elderly and have arthritis, diabetes, edema, and other chronic conditions that make it difficult for me to attend or walk any distance. To be honest, I am afraid for our country, the planet, the environment, health care, immigrants and education under the coming administration. I will not be watching the inauguration, TV will be on some channel not broadcasting it. I have many friends participating in the Women’s March on Oakland, San Diego, and Denver and wish that I could be with them.

Carolina Barton: Why I Am Joining The March : For my sisters-in-law, who deserve to be married just as much as I was.

Jennifer Ross: Why I Am Joining The March : I am still with Hillary. Donald Trump isn’t qualified. He is a liar, egotistical, delusional, racist, sexist, doesn’t pay bills, stole money through Trump ‘University’, doesn’t pay vendors and others for products used in his businesses and labor, sent his business overseas to cheap workshops where low-sodium laborers make his clothing amd other products, takes credit for successes that are misrepresented, mocks amd bullies others, has created and enflamed others to verbally and physically abuse others, encouarges people to bring out the worst in others, has nominated consistently those who have no experience in given fields to cabinet level posts, and has said the most deplorable…most negative…comments about credible intelligence to those who have been high level intelligence agency and other ranking security public servants. His overall character is flawed obviously. And his mental capacity is far below the caliber of someone wielding unlimited power in government. I believe he overestimate his own abilities amd thought processes and that this will create great harm in governing.

TaraNicole Tuttle: Why I Am Joining The March : I march in solidarity with the other women who feel betrayed and threatened by their fellow Americans.

I march for the future of my young daughter as well as my son’s! They deserve BETTER than this “president” they deserve BETTER than this government!

Women rights ARE human rights!
LGBT rights ARE human rights!
Black Lives Matter!

Pamela Nagle: Why I Am Joining The March : I am joining the March because trump has offended women, disabled persons, Muslims, Latinos. He threatens the country’s safety. He is unstable. He is offensive to every possible way.

Lucy Sikes:Why I Am Joining The March : I am joining the march because my daughter, two granddaughters and many friends will be there, but my age and arthritis makes it only possible to be there in spirit, watching all the women and holding them in the Light (Quaker Prayers)
Michelle Campbell:
Why I Am Joining The March : We have come too far to go back 50 yrs in this society. I have worked with victims of sexual and domestic crimes who were brutalized by people who thought like the president elect. I will not allow him any more victims!
