I’m a queer Jewish student with a non-visible disability, a neurological disorder, and several mental illnesses, I want to march, but I have to budget out my energy, and joining my local march would leave me too exhausted to meet any of my other obligations. I refuse to stand idly by when people are trying to remove what protects vulnerable populations or what could improve our world. I refuse to support the bigotry that elected Trump and will continue during his administration. I refuse to be silenced. So many people’s lives will be turned upside-down, or risked, or made worse, and I can’t let that happen without trying to stop it.
