I have worked my adult life as a Licensed Practical Nurse with a Specialty certification in Hospice Care for the last 8 years of my practice. My husband, a Seminole Native American, worked until he was 75.
My career ended in 2013 when I was diagnosed with uterine serous papillary carcinoma, the aggressive treatment left me with disabling neuropathy in my legs & mobility issues. My husband has end stage renal disease & is now on dialysis.
We both support the Woman’s March on Washington & wish we could be there.
