I am joining the march because in the past decade I have seen a marked increase in inappropriate, derogatory, and disparaging behavior toward myself and other disabled people.  We have problems that are sometimes extremely visible and burdensome.  We are still valuable people.  Other people have problems, too, and are still treated with respect.

I am a musician and teacher by calling and training, currently unable to work due to a worsening of my symptoms.  I maintain hope that someday I can get back to doing what I love, and meanwhile do what I can to make the world a better place.
