There are times in life to sit back and listen and observe. There are other times when we need to act. I believe this is a time to act. It is important to do so to ensure that each individual’s rights are protected. To ensure each individual is respected.  To ensure our beautiful waters and lands are protected. To ensure each person is treated with kindness. The march is for our country and for our neighborhoods. Kindness, respect, seeing the wonder in our surroundings, love… begins in our homes and just outside our doors.

I’ve used a wheelchair to navigate daily life for 24 years or so. People in my community offer me great support. I am able to enjoy the beauty of Lake Michigan each day. It is a sight that reminds me the beauty of our world and the vast possibilities for each of us, regardless of the challenges we face. I hope that all people can feel secure in their communities. That all communities can work together, in love, so all people can see possibility.
