My name is Jen.

I work for a bank and teach preschool choir on the side. I love both of my jobs! I’m a life-long chronic pain WARRIOR, and after two unsuccessful back surgeries and a nasty car accident, I also battle some mobility issues. I’d love to march, but I’m afraid I don’t have the “spoons” to make it from A to B.

Amid all the divisiveness of the election I started to take a hard look at the way some might label me.  I am a woman, I am disabled, etc. These labels shouldn’t hold me back. They are part of me, my reality, and I should be able to live in my own skin without fear. I’m joining because I want a world where all the women in my life can live their own truths without apology. One where we are safe, and protected, and empowered to be our best selves and bring good things to the world as a result.
