I am joining the disability march because I believe it is vital for people to see all types of women who are angry about the current political climate. It’s easy for people to forget about all the individuals who will be affected by Trump’s America, and I refuse to be ignored.
My mental health is bad, but that doesn’t mean my mind is bad. I want my voice heard like everyone deserves to. Mental illness makes it difficult and at times impossible to go out into the world and make my voice heard that way, so I’m here.
I am a bisexual, atheist, polyamorous, kinky, pissed off feminist with depression, anxiety, and DPDR. I need protections from discrimination, I need to know that I am safe being open about my issues and identities. I need access to mental health services.
I support all people’s rights to equality, especially those who are the most disenfranchised by the system, like POC (especially WOC), trans people, sex workers, religious minorities, and all those living with disabilities.
We are stronger together. We need to be prepared to fight together. We need to stand, sit, crawl, do whatever we can to make our voices heard together.
We will not go quietly back to the 1950’s.
