As a female scientist with a disability, I feel I HAVE to do something.  The way the president-elect talks about and treats women and minorities is abominable.  The fact that a bully who is so out of touch with what it means to be a decent human being is taking office devastates me.  His ignorance on climate change is terrifying.  His policies and general statements on science, climate change, the EPA, the Affordable Care Act, reproductive rights, immigrants, etc. are wrong, uninformed, disrespectful, and will ultimately make this country worse.  Women’s Rights and Racial Equality are Human Rights.   I am lucky to have a job that provides me with health insurance, but if I didn’t, under his policies, I would not be able to afford health care.  I’m lucky to have an advanced education, but if his policies on tuition and higher education had been in place while I was in school, I would not have been able to afford it.  I’m lucky that I have a job, but his statements regarding the EPA make my ability to continue my career questionable.  What about the people who aren’t as lucky as me,  who will lose a lot- or everything- under this administration? 

P.S. CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL.  Science is not something you simply choose to believe or not to believe.  It is based on EVIDENCE.
