As a nonbinary lesbian living with chronic illnesses, I know what it is like to struggle and fight every day. With all of the gains we have made in this country in the past eight years, the unpredictable immediate future threatens those gains we have made and the progress many have made in furthering gains in dismantling systemic racism, sexism, homophobia, xenophobia, transphobia, and so on. Our country is not great, but it could be and so I march in recognizing that change only occurs with collective action and education.
