Mary H.

I was an athlete all my life thanks to Title IX. I now lead an active life while living with a mobility disability. A long-time international advocate for sport for people with disabilities and also sport and human rights, I had the great opportunity to co-author Article 30.5 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. My life’s work has revolved around promoting inclusion. My hope is that our nation can continue down the right path and ensure all of our citizens are treated with dignity and respect.

I am a Sport Administration University Professor and long-time international advocate for sport for people with disabilities and also sport and human rights. I was fortunate enough to be a co-author of Article 30.5 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. I have worked 4 Paralympic Games and was an intercollegiate athlete for four years.
