Why I Am Joining The March :
I am 56 years old, and Autistic. Autism is a Disability, because of the multiple sensory issues i have. This has prevented me from ever being able to work or pursue schooling. In addition, in 2005, i developed lymphedema on both of my legs, and now have limited mobility. I cannot do much for myself anymore so i depend on in home care, and do not want to lose that.
Joining because i care about Planned Parenthood, women’s rights, the arts, LGBTQIA rights, same sex marriage staying legal, the eradication of racism, the rights of immigrants, the rights of people to worship or to not worship in the way they see fit, and i also care about Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid being here for me and the millions of Disabled people, elderly people, and veterans who depend on this safety net just to be able to live. Joining because i want to see a true free America with healthcare and a decent life for all of its citizens.
