I am joining this march because I know the power of validation to the marginalized of society. I know the hope it offers. I know the relief it sends to every cell of the body when you discover that you are not alone, that others care, too. Now, I am a member of the marginalized and I wish I could be physically marching, but the bones in my feet keep fracturing and recently my hip joints gave out. It’s killing me not to be there, but I am very grateful for this virtual opportunity, and I hope that by being here we are giving others hope and relief and a sense of community. Community is going to be more important than ever, now. May we all come together and never, ever take our freedoms, justice, equality, or our governance for granted, ever again. We, The People, must save ourselves, and this is just the beginning.
Bio:
I left a 20-year career as a computer programmer, because I couldn’t take the sexist environment any more. Instead, I created a life and career devoted to helping people out of pain and into better health. Living and working alone without a safety net or insurance isn’t easy, and I’m terrified for my future, but I can’t imagine doing anything else. Researching new ways to help people be happier and healthier in their home – their bodies – is a joy and a sacred trust. http://www.PaulasBodyShop.com
