Why I Am Joining The March : We would be in DC in a heartbeat to join the march if we could. Adam is a 42 year old quadriplegic and I’m his 69 year old retired teacher mom and helper. While we know that the Republican congress and the new “president” have no regard for people like us, we would march for the bigger picture: the plight of undocumented residents, the fears of the LGBTQ community, women’s rights worldwide, the demonization and dismantling of public schools, and list goes on.
