I see an incoming administration bent on attacking the functioning of government itself, and on weakening democratic institutions for their own plunder. As someone who lives with chronic pain, I know how important access to health care is to my survival, and to the well-being of my family. My friends – Muslims, queers, immigrants, people of color, young people, old people, poor people, middle class people, women, men – are all going to suffer under the policies being proposed. We need to be be active citizens in whatever way we can.
