Secular Monastic

Why I march:

I march to cultivate loving speech and compassionate listening in order to relieve suffering.

  • to promote reconciliation and peace in myself and my fellow citizens.
  • because the roots of anger can be found in my wrong perceptions and lack of understanding of the suffering in myself and in other people.
  • to show solidarity with other disabled Americans because I live with daily chronic pain and fatigue, and I get overwhelmed by large crowds.

Bio:

I am a wife, aunt, cousin, daughter, teacher and artist who loves to play with toddlers and dogs.
