I am virtual marching because I believe that the only way forward is to stand (march!) together, to listen to each other’s stories and realise you are not alone, and that all challenges can be overcome. I think the more we share the more we understand each other.
Because my younger siblings need to know how many of us want positive change, and their passion for a better world inspires me to stand up and fight with them for everyone’s equal rights.
Because no matter how many people may try to make you smaller, how society may try and persuade you you’re not good enough, there are more people who will admire you for your ‘you’ness, whatever that is.
Noone should be marginalised or beaten down, or feel threatened, or held back, because of any aspect of who they are.
I can’t be at the march (I would go to the London one) because I’m recovering from hip surgery, one part of my fight to live and conquer life despite my Ehler’s Danlos Syndrome, congenital hip dysplasia, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and all the other ‘fun’ stuff!
