Hi — I’m so delighted to hear about the Disability March! My bad knee and even worse back would have made even the drive from Richmond, VA to DC difficult, and I would not have been able to stay on my feet for as long as necessary once I got there. But now I can be with you all in spirit — and we need a lot of spirit right now. This incoming administration, with its policies against the poor, the non-white, against the health of many the women and children unable to afford medical treatment without the Affordable Care Act, not to mention the callous disregard for civil rights that seems to be looming, will be the worst administration in my lifetime — and I’m old enough to have voted against Richard Nixon!

Thanks for arranging a way to be part of what the sixteenth-century Calvinist John Knox called “a monstrous regiment of women”!
