I woke up the day after the election not feeling well, so I called in sick. I saw a text from my son that said he was scared. Then I saw online that Trump had won. I couldn’t believe it and things felt very surreal. I called my daughter at work to let her know I was staying home. We talked about the election results and I unexpectedly started to sob. At my age, I might not see a woman become president. I had voted for Hillary last time by writing in her name. I always said that if Trump won, I would join the resistance. This is one way of doing it, peacefully.
