Bobbi & Wayne

My father Wayne marched in the Civil Rights Marches in Chicago in the sixties. He’s a poet and writer. I am trying to follow in his footsteps after lupus derailed my career in science.

I have lupus and cannot march due to UV exposure and fatigue. He has trouble walking long distances due to two knee replacements. We both want to march, because we are citizens who are outraged by this attack on our government and on our country.

An older man in a gray sweatshirt, blue vest, and cap with glasses smiles at the camera. A younger woman next to him in a navy coat and sun hat also smiles. They are sitting outside.
