A red toned and blue toned image of a person with long hair and enlarged pupils drawn in.

The image included is an iPhoneography piece, of my face, minipulated via iPad art apps that I created in 2015. It represents me in a mixed state.

I am unable to attend the Women’s March in Washington on Saturday because I live with agoraphobia and other invisible disabilities that make it difficult to navigate outside of my increasingly diminishing, especially since the election, tolerable zone.

I don’t have anything eloquent to say, many others who are marching physically, and also in this disability march, have said what I would too like to say, besides a steady chant of #NotMyPresident better than I could. Rather than formulating something of my own, I would like to lend my support to those who are marginalized more than I. To be an echo to your voices and an ear to your words. A big fat sharpie marker to circle and underline your message. To stand united in the face of fascism. To lift you up and let you know that you deserve to be heard, understood, and respected. Strength in numbers. When everything seems the brink of an end of any progress we’ve made as a nation. Let it be known that it is still your turn.
