I wish to join the virtual march because I am disgusted by the current political upheavals in the U.S.A. and in England, which have brought to the fore incredibly nasty and divisive undercurrents of misogyny , racism and anti-intellectualism which have for too long been permitted to fester in various parts of society and which have now been enabled, thanks to unfettered Press freedom and access to the Internet, to assume terrifying power and to be accepted as “mainstream” and entirely acceptable and unchallenged by a large majority of persons in our countries today. This suppression of liberal ideals terrifies me and I wish to make every effort I can to stand up against it and state “Not in my Name.”
