Thank you, President Obama, for making it possible for me to get the care I need. Thank you, President Obama, for acknowledging that mental illness is just that-an illness, and as such it can be treated. As such, it is like any other illness and deserves the same coverage. Thank you that at least for the moment, I do not have to worry about being denied coverage because of a “pre-existing condition.” It is frightening to think that at some point in the future  I may be denied coverage because I do not have a government approved illness. Thank you, President Obama, for your humanity and compassion. We will miss you.
