The reason I am joining the disability March is because I am unable to join a local march.  I have Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia, and am currently experiencing a flare.  I loathe the way Donald Trump has treated women, people with disabilities, Muslims, people of color, the gay community, etc.  His cabinet picks are terrifying.  I fear our country will regress in ways I wouldn’t have imagined a few years ago.  I want my voice to be heard, and I want to advocate for others.

I am a 44 year old Caucasian with an adopted Latino child.  He has overheard racist remarks at school, and I am concerned for him.  I have many gay friends and family, and I want them to have the same rights as I do.  I have a Masters degree in social work, and worked with disenfranchised families for over 15 years, until my disability prevented me from working.
