Group of 10 marchers

Ara Johnson: Why I Am Joining The March : Please march for me. I have cancer and do not have the stamina. Thank you.

I believe being American means taking care of one another, just because it is right. I refuse to give up that belief, in spite of all the mounting evidence against it. We can’t go back to placing profits above quality of life.  We have to preserve the right to choice. Our lives, our health, our medical decisions should belong to us. Americans have always stood up for what was right. This is our time to do so.

Liz: Why I Am Joining The March : I am afraid of seeing my rights, and those of others, dwindle and disappear. I don’t have the money to go to DC or the energy to deal with a crowd, but this is a way I can show my support
Name: Alisha Marie Wallheimer (Wall): Why I Am Joining The March : Because I oppose the presidency of Donald Trump and what it means for women, minoroties and the poor.
Marion Timmins: Why I Am Joining The March : I am joining this march because I have an adult daughter with disabilities and I was a special education teacher for 33 years before I retired. I am still active within this community and want to voice my opposition to any decisions or legislation that would not help individuals with disabilities or women who struggle, or peoples of different nationalities, race or religions get equal treatment.
This is MsLissa.  I am joining the disability march because not only do I and others in my family have physical disabilities, but some suffer from mental disabilities and we also have grandchikdren that are on the spectrum of autism.  I march for all of those disabled whether it be physical or mental.

My name is Mary Osgood (no photo).  I will be 82 on Mon. and would love to walk but am on oxygen 24/7 and find it more difficult to walk.  I appreciate this opportunity to protests from home.  Two of my daughters will be walking.  One in Chicago and One in Denver.  My third daughter will be in Haiti for a volunteer teaching project.
Thanks to whomever came up with this idea and put it together.
Kathleen Sigler: Comment: I have Parkinson’s and can’t attend but my spirit is with you. I live in Arkansas in the Ozarks and the trip would be too arduous for me. At 67 years old I have seen many changes but one thing that never seems to change is the way women are dismissed and ignored. The undercurrent of sexism that plagued Clintons campaign gagged me. We are truly the last underclass.
Sally:
I am a disabled 57 year old Native American women.  All demographics that have been marginalized and I can’t stay still and watch my hard won rights be destroyed.  I also work with vulnerable people who are fearful they won’t be able to access healthcare, housing, food. I have Cerebellar Ataxia I can still work, but am concerned about my future.
Name: Cammie
I feel that I need to voice my disapproval of Donald Trump. As a woman with a disability, I do not feel represented by our current President. As a person with compassion and empathy for the oppressed, I do not feel represented by our President. As a believer in equal rights for all regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual preference, background, etc. I do not feel represented by our President.
