A woman’s face with short, red and black hair, dark gray glasses, and red lipstick.

Our nation has made great strides for our disenfranchised, for our minority brothers and sisters, for our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And now those strides are endangered. I am frightened for my friends whose rights are being threatened because of who they worship, or who they love, or simply the color of their skin. I am frightened for myself as a woman living with disabilities. But while these disabilities may keep me from physically marching alongside my sisters, my heart will be there step by step, side by side for all of those who are afraid, but are standing up to march anyway.
