I would love to be able to march for myself, my daughter and granddaughter. I came from a background of activism as a teen and young adult. I still have my representatives and the White House on speed-dial. It’s important to be part of the governance of this country. Democracy is not a spectator sport!
I am 62 years old. I work in criminal justice. I have Fibromyalgia and have severe back problems. I have a spinal cord implant to reduce pain so I can walk and had a surgical procedure yesterday to reduce pain when I sit. Marching isn’t possible for me this year. I am lucky to be able to be able to work. I am lucky have great doctors and great insurance. I know everyone does not have these luxuries. Everyone should. When I retire, I want Medicare.
