My arthritis prevents me from physically joining a march, but I can’t be silent. Not with someone who opposes everything I stand for assuming the highest office in America. He does not represent us, or the better world I keep hoping we will become, and I won’t stop fighting.
My name is Kelcie Mattson. I’m a multimedia producer from Missouri, a writer, an inter-sectional feminist, and an eternal optimist – even when it’s never been harder. Coffee aficionado, cat lover, and firm believer in the power of the arts to foster empathy and understanding. I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was 17, as well as anxiety and depression. My writing blog is here: https://cinephiledaydreaming.wordpress.com.
