I hope to march on the 21st, but given the unpredictability of my health, I want to participate in this creative call to inclusivity.  I march because I want to help send a message to our politicians that we will join together as a community to make our voices heard. Because our voices matter, and they DESERVE to be heard. I also want to send a message to Washington, that we are watching, and that they cannot take away our rights without a fight.  There is so much to be concerned about in this coming administration, but as someone with health struggles, I want to express that if you (politicians) deny access to insurance coverage and consequentially restrict medical care to those who can afford it, you are sending a very clear message that one person’s life is worth more than another’s, simply because he or she has more money. And this is an extremely un-American value.  At least the America I know.
