Image of a slouching manikin wearing a black tank top and skirt. Banner writing reads, “Invisible illness(es). . . invisible humans. You see us on good days, not days like this” and “May is Awareness Month, MCS, Fibro, CFS/ME, Lyme”

I’m a disabled artist that’s “lucky” enough to be part of a local group that makes disability access a priority but I’m participating in Disability March as a shout out to the nearly one million Canadians with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity -MCS (and everyone with Environmental Illness = MCS, Fibro and CFS/ME) who need enforced Fragrance-Free policies to be able to participate in daily life, so we can have spoons left over to do other important work… like this march.

Is it too lofty a goal to wish that this May (MCS Awareness Month) we don’t hear those 5 magical words “I’ve never heard of that!!”? There’s 3 weeks of MCS reading in my Facebook profile picture description if you want more info.
