I am joining the march because I believe in the power of women. And women’s voices have been silenced for far too long. I believe in healthcare and reproductive rights for all. I believe in equal pay and equal opportunity for all. I am a young professional with a spinal cord injury; I rely on caregivers and medical equipment. I am currently healthy enough to work, but I could easily lose that without proper healthcare access. I’m an aspiring mother; I want to bring children into a healthy and safe world. Under Trump’s administration, I may lose my health and reproductive rights. I may lose my caregivers, my independence. I may have to forfeit my safety, my children’s safety. It’s time for me to stand up.
I’m a young professional woman with a spinal cord injury.
