I live my life surrounded by womyn; I’ve three daughters, a partner; I participate in women’s circles and communities. So it’s a foregone conclusion that I would participate in the Women’s March in DC. Unfortunately, the universe had other plans for me in the form of a debilitating back injury.
So while I can’t stand tall in DC or Philly’s Sister March, I’m can stand tall via the Virtual March. I’m standing tall for women’s rights (are human rights!) and children’s rights. I’m standing tall for the ERA! I’m standing tall against sexism, racism, classism and fascism in all its subtle and not so subtle  forms. I’m standing tall against lies and greed and the one percent. I’m standing tall for health care, for education, for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. I’m standing tall for the the disabled and for the disenfranchised,  I’m standing tall for Black lives, Latino lives and Muslim lives. As a Jewish women, I am standing tall for “Never Again” for anyone and everyone.
Wherever I can and however I can, I’m standing tall for you and I know you will stand tall for me.
Here I am with my salt and pepper curly hair. As a child, I was ridiculed for my curls, so much so I hated my hair and myself.  As a womyn I love my curls and graying hair. It’s my “wild womyn hair!”  I’m also wild about women’s rights, and empowering women to recognize and claim their worth and to live in the power of their fullest authentic selves. I’m blessed to do this through my psychotherapy practice in Philadelphia, PA.
