Lindsay Brown

I am joining this march because being born disabled shouldn’t be a reason for people with more capacity to hold you hostage to your limitations. Just because I cannot physically march due to my health status, doesn’t mean that I should sit by and let others with little understanding of my disability control my life.
Lindsay Brown is an Applied Anthropologist pursuing a master’s degree at University of North Texas. Her current research endeavors focus on chronically ill youth and their daily life experiences, especially with school and education. She has used her personal experiences of being disabled due to chronic illness to inspire her research in youth health and education advocacy.
