Two women, one with brown hair and one with gray, standing together in front of a large window.

I live in the Northern Virginia Area and am 63 years old. I am an RN with a Master’s Degree in Nursing however I work with my husband now and also own my company. I worked on Hillary Clinton’s campaign locally. I was proud that VA and my county voted for her. My family who also worked on Obama’s campaign were devastated with this loss. I am especially upset about the health care and reproduction rights of women being in play now, not to mention the treatment of women and minorities declining.

I want to participate in person but am unable to as a result of a chroninc knee injury. I am with my 82 year old mother here in this picture who is also unable to participate as well. She lives in Indiana, my home state. She has always been an advocate for womens’ rights and taught my sisters and me to stand up for what is right so I am virtually marching for women of the world. My daughter will be marching in Oakland CA and I have a daughter-in-law marching in Wilmington NC. I have a strong daughter who advocates for women and minorities as well as 2 strong daughters-in-laws who do the same. We are committed to this cause and I adopted Gandhi’s saying years ago, “Be the change you want to see in the world”.

Thanks
