Tosha

Joining to have my voice heard. I’m a woman and a woman with a disability. I feel like a double hit in this world. I have to work extra hard to have my voice heard. To be acknowledged for my talents and strengths. To be respected as a human. I deserve everything as the next person. I shouldn’t be discredited because I can’t or don’t measure up.

I was struck by a car at the age of 4 in 1981. Physically disabled trying to push myself against society stereotypes. Go to college get struck by a car a 2nd time at age 19 while in wheelchair. Fight back physically/mentally. Achieve Master’s in Social Work. Work. Live independently. Find laughter. Fight everyday while still needing government funded programs to physically survive.
