Why I am joining the March: I must stand up and take action to help protect women, minorities, disabled people and anyone who is oppressed by people in power. We cannot let our country slide back to more dangerous times when discrimination was tolerated. We cannot allow our rights to be stripped away. We cannot allow our planet to be destroyed in the name of profit. My body is physically unable to stand and walk for long periods of time, so I am pleased to be there in heart, mind and spirit. We are all brothers and sisters of this vast planet and I believe in love and equality for each of us. Good will always overcome evil when we stand together and take action.

I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was only 18 months old. There were no medications or treatments back then that could stop the destructive progression of this disease. As a result, I have damage to nearly every joint in my body and have undergone over 20 joint replacement / reconstruction surgeries. Since 1993, I have worked tirelessly to help kids and adults with arthritis. I want them know they are not alone and I want them to have access to the healthcare and medicines that will prevent the kind of deformities I have. http://www.arthritisintrospective.org/
