I am joining this march because the current attitude towards women’s’ bodies and rights is not ok. It is not ok to grope or molest someone, regardless of gender. It’s not ok to treat someone differently because of the color of their skin, their gender, their religion, their orientation, or their life choices. It is not ok to think you can get away with these things. I feel that attitudes have shifted for the worse in the last few months and this needs to change. Change will not happen overnight, but by coming together our voices can be heard.

I have Sjögren’s syndrome which is a chronic, inflammatory autoimmune disease. It causes dryness, joint pain and fatigue. I look “normal” but my body just can’t do events like the actual march. I have learned (the hard way) to respect my limits. I love to knit and made a few pussyhats for the pussyhat project, for marchers to wear.
