Kay Gallagher

I am joining the march because I believe that we deserve better. That we all should have equal rights. That healthcare should be a universal right. That medicaid, medicare, and social security are necessary and important. That no person should be disrespected in the way the President Elect has treated others. That grabbing someone by the p*ssy is sexual assault. That disabled people like myself shouldn’t be mocked and made fun of. That black lives matter. That Muslims deserve to live freely in this country. That refugees and immigrants should be welcomed with open arms. That the LGBTQA+ community should be protected and share the same rights as straight cis people. That this country should be a place of peace and freedom. I will not sit by while fascism, racism, sexism, ableism, xenophobia, and homophobia take over our country, set by the example of our new leader. I am joining this march because our voices will not be silenced.
My name is Kay Gallagher and I am a disabled 24 year old. I have a masters degree in Holocaust and Genocide Studies. I study fascism and genocide. I was trained to look at the warning signs for genocide and human rights violations which you can see all over the incoming administration and Trump agenda. I run a blog about disability and chronic illness as well.
