Why I am joining the March:

The reason why I want to be a part of this march is many-fold. I am marching for my friends and family who are women, people of color, friends in the LGBT community, people of varying disabilities, people with pre-existing conditions, and the children who will inherit whatever laws get passed during this presidential term. I believe in human rights, which includes women’s rights, the right to have access to affordable healthcare, the right for women to have ownership over their own body without interference, physical or emotional threats from other parties. I also believe people of other cultures and of different religions have the right “To Be” without threat or violence to their rights, to their family, or to their livelihood. I feel that Trump and his cabinet go against all of these values. I am very concerned my fellow humans who are citizens and residents may see these values evaporate if we do nothing.

Bio:

My name is Linda Jung, I am an artist, a cat lover, a free thinker, opinionated and thoughtful feminist and humanist. I was born in Frankfurt Germany, grew up in South Florida and currently live in The Metro Boston area. I was diagnosed this year with osteoarthritis in both knees which makes walking or standing and sitting for more than ten minutes very painful and challenging. I have great difficulty maneuvering more than three steps on a set of stairs.
